80’s Prom!

Our New Year’s Eve Celebration

Join us for our 80’s prom-themed New Year celebration with wicked live music!

A beginner dance lesson will get you on your feet and all set for a night that is guaranteed to be so totally rad.

Evening features:

• Live band with 3 sets of swing music
• DJ dance party upstairs complete with 80’s tunes
• Performance by Mad Cat Swing!
• Games!
• Light snacks to keep you energized!
• A lounge area to recharge—kick back with a drink, chat with friends old and new, and enjoy the music!
• Licensed Bar with feature cocktails to keep the libations flowing, with virgin options
• Champagne/juice countdown at midnight, of course!
• Beginner Drop-In Lesson —no dance experience? No big deal. We kick off the evening with a beginner dance lesson where you’ll learn enough to get up on the dance floor with everybody. You don’t even need to bring a partner!
• Dress to Impress with an 80’s prom themed outfit (think big hair, mullets, neon colours, ruffles, Footloose, Pretty in Pink…whatever makes you feel fresh!)

Other Notes

Smoking and consuming cannabis is not permitted at Sugar Swing Ballroom.

Do not drink and drink. Please arrange for a designated driver, and do not hesitate to call an uber/cab at the party when you need to leave. Sugar Swing staff are also available on-site to help you make arrangements as needed!

An event photographer is planned for the evening, and photos would then be posted on social media proceeding the event. Ticket purchase and waiver signing involves your consent for photo/video release as per our Photography & Video Policy.
