Lead? Follow?

Only if registering for a rotating partner dance class such as Swing 1, Swing 2, Balboa, etc, you may specify if you prefer to lead or follow. The system will otherwise default you to your initial registration role. If attending a solo dance style class, or Sweetheart Swing where a partner is required, you may also leave it as-is. If coming with a friend, etc, you will each need to register separately.

Notes

The classes are offered in semesters of 12-15 weekly classes of 60-75 minutes per lesson starting in January, May, and September. This is subdivided into 2-3 parts (mini-series) of 3 to 8 weeks in length, allowing students to start mid-semester, practically any month. We do allow drop-ins; keep in mind that most of our classes are progressive, building on material from previous weeks, so we usually only advise this to students who have prior dance experience, beginner-intermediate or higher, or when it is the first 1-2 lessons of a part/mini-series.

Swing 1: Complete beginners may start with any level 1 part A, B, or C. Most will start at the beginning of the semester, but many begin with parts B or C. All 3 parts are required before progressing to level 2.

Tap 1: Complete beginners should start at the very beginning of a semester and not partway through

House, Jazz, African, Caribbean, Fitness: Many of these style of classes have more flexibility when it comes to starting partway through a semester or dropping in. They will often be called "open level".

Gaining Entry: Please check-in with reception, and if unavailable, with your instructor at your first class.
